About Bloomi Books

Bloomi Books was created from a deeply personal place — the intersection of two lived experiences: growing up adopted and becoming an adoptive parent.

As both an adoptee and an adoptive mom, I know that adoption stories are layered and unique. They can include joy, curiosity, belonging, big emotions, and questions that unfold over time. When I began looking for children’s books to share with my own family, I often found stories that focused only on the happy ending. While reassurance is important, I also wanted stories that made space for the full journey of growing up adopted.

Bloomi Books was born from that desire.

Through thoughtful storytelling and meaningful resources, Bloomi Books aims to help children explore belonging, identity, and family in ways that feel honest, gentle, and developmentally appropriate. The Growing Up Adopted series follows Luna and Sol as they navigate different parts of the adoption journey, offering stories that invite connection, conversation, and understanding.

Bloomi Books is also growing into a small hub for resources for adoptive families, educators, and professionals, helping support the important conversations that happen as children grow.

I live in Colorado with my husband, our two children, and our very energetic household that also includes a Goldendoodle and a Husky. When I’m not writing, you can often find us outside exploring, reading together, or enjoying the kind of everyday moments that make a family feel like home.

At the heart of Bloomi Books is a simple belief:
